Following are 2024 posts about sponsored students by Executive Director Trudy Marshall on our Facebook page.

January 17 – I am not picking up more young people to sponsor! Ahhh!! Fredrick is Kenyan. He has finished one year of college but doesn’t have funds to continue. He is studying Hospitality- which includes cooking. His mother is a widow. If you can help let me know.

February 2 – Our 15th college graduate! Eva graduated today with a degree in Fashion Design!

February 17 – I enjoyed our Kenyan sponsored kids today. Someday they will have university degrees thanks to their sponsors. I appreciate Maria our coordinator for bringing them together. We only had three missing – two in boarding school and one that lives a long distance.

February 17 – Pure cuteness! Kenya sponsored …

March 19 – Winding up visiting our Mbale sponsored kids. I’ve enjoyed handing them letters from sponsors. Gift is starting beauty college. Florence just finished her degree in education and wants to teach and work on her Masters. Emma has finished high school and plans on entering college to study Accounting.

March 29 – Our Kampala area students had a wonderful time of fellowship today. We are a family! Most became sponsored in 1st-3rd grade. Only three are still in elementary with most in high school or college.

April 1 – Sylvester and Juma were our first two sponsored students. They were both in 3rd grade. Muyonga Sylvester is now 27 attending Agricultural College. Juma is 20 and attending college studying Auto Mechanics. They have been in my life many years. Love these guys. God bless their sponsors!

April 27 – Brian just finished high school and is going to
vo-tech college to study Mechanics. He has one sponsor but needs one or two more for his two years of study. If you can help sponsor Brian let me know. It is much, much less than American colleges.

May 31 – Congratulations to Sylvester who just received his two year diploma in Agricultural Engineering. His final grade point was 4.3 out of a 5.0. He will continue college to earn a degree.

June 11 – Libraries of Love provides a new computer for each sponsored student for college. Yusef is studying Business Administration. Aaron and Godfrey have finished 2 1/2 years in medical school and have plans to become doctors. We have fifteen university graduates plus sixty sponsored students with fourteen of those in college

June 28 – Today I took a cycle for about an hours ride over horrible rocky paths to visit these two sponsored kids, Joseph and Jennifer. Both of their homes are in bad shape, made of sticks, dung, and mud. They sleep on long sticks covered with worn out foam (pictured in comments). We will see how we can help.

July 11 – Off we went over endless miles of rocky paths to the three very remote new homes. Maria who handles our Kenyan sponsored kids is pictured on the far left. Herbert who handles libraries and sponsored in Uganda is on the right. We made it back safely!
